There is nothing in the world like the look on a small ones face when they hook that fish for the first time!
Both Beaver Lake above, and the White River below the Beaver Dam are renowned Striper waters. The current Arkansas State record was landed right here where we fish, below the Beaver Dam. This is not the record fish shown - the record was much bigger at 64 pounds 8 ounces.

"The fishing was great, Bill was fun to be
with, made it easy for a couple of novices to enjoy a day of
fishing. It was the highlight of our trip to Arkansas...
Gene & Tina, Omaha
The White river is one of Arkansas's best-known trout havens, and is truly a world class fishery. The cold tailwaters from the White River's Beaver Dam creates ideal habitat for trout. The White River produces many like this one, but it also produces the big ones...On March 14, 1981 Jim Miller of Memphis, Tennessee, reeled the state-record rainbow from the White River. It tipped the scales at 19 pounds, one ounce.
"Thank you for a great afternoon on the White River. We grilled our trout this morning, and had it for a late brunch it was wonderful. I've never seen trout that big! Next time, we'll try a morning trip.

Clear, gravel bottomed mountain rivers like the White River make for excellent Walleye fishing. We catch many like this one. The current state record, a 22-pound, 11-ounce fish was caught in another area of the Ozarks - Greers Ferry Lake in 1982 by Al Nelson of Quitman.
"I own a boat. When I use a guide and tell them I have a boat, they normally clam up. Bill was very helpful in pointing out fishing spots and techniques and showing me boating hazards. That is extremely uncommon and really appreciated. But then, he made the trip so easy and enjoyable, I might just keep going with him and leave my boat in the garage."...Bernie Grimes
